Trade Specialist

The Trade Specialist will coordinate with buyers and sellers to actively place and help transact vehicle inventory trades for our participating clients. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships and will act on behalf of both buyers and sellers to facilitate vehicle purchase and sales transactions. The Trade Specialist will work with buyers and sellers to maximize vehicle transactions and drive utilization of the DT Trading platform. They will coordinate with the IOS Team to accurately determine relevant vehicle pricing parameters and communicate these data points to their customers in support of vehicle transactions. They will handle both sourcing and liquidation trades.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Customer Engagement:
Engage potential customers and communicate the benefits and opportunities available through Tthe DT Trade Desk. Work to generate new customers through targeted communications and networking with existing accounts. Facilitate transactions based on both seller liquidation and buyer sourcing needs, and develop creative solutions to continually drive transactional volume and client uptake.
•Business Development:
Work with existing and potential customers to define and develop additional service models based on existing and planned Transactional Services offerings. Determine ways to better and more fully serve customer needs based on applying available services and skills in new service models that will drive our revenue and business.
•Product and Services Development:
The Trade Specialist will work with the Product team to develop new offerings and services based on customer requests and interactions. They will communicate industry trends and client feedback to refine and improve existing offerings.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
•Bachelors degree required
•3+ years experience in a similar role
•Required mastery of the DTIO (AAX) Software suite
•Knowledge of the automotive industry, specifically used vehicle operations
•Excellent communication and customer service skills
•Time management, multi-tasking skills and prioritization skills
•Problem solving skills
